Finishing the raw edges (Japanese-English article)
Posted by CouleureStaff on✂️ Finishing the raw edges
Use an overcast stitch (zigzag stitch) on your sewing machine or an overlocker/serger to finish your raw edges as indicated in the instructions and diagram with a wwwww mark.
Always press your seam allowances to the back, otherwise stated on the instructions (search online for English support). It is a great tip to iron your sewn lines as this gives a clean, professional finish!
✂️ Edge processing
The edges of the parts indicated in the specifications are processed using a zigzag sewing machine or a lock sewing machine. For fabrics that do not fray easily and do not require edge treatment, the edge treatment may be removed. You can get a beautiful finish by frequently ironing the seam.
